Since joining Universal Music Group (UMG) in 2018, Veronica Dullack, the Senior Vice President of Global ESG & Sustainability has held multiple roles in and led teams within the Finance organization. Today, she supports the day-to-day transformation and drive around the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments. With an incisive understanding of operations, governance, and sustainable business practices, she has been instrumental in charting the course for UMG’s sustainability journey.
Mrs. Dullack’s stewardship has been particularly pivotal in establishing UMG's first-ever ESG department, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach towards corporate responsibility. She has been a guiding force in developing and implementing the company's first ESG framework, marking a significant milestone for the company, alongside its public listing in 2021.
Under Mrs. Dullack’s leadership, UMG has made swift, ambitious strides in its ESG reporting. She has helmed the design of a comprehensive global process for ESG reporting and has streamlined everything from risk assessment to auditing. These efforts have ensured representation of UMG's ESG performance across its operations in 60 countries, nearly 200 markets and 10,000+ employees.
One of her notable achievements is leading the initiative to calculate UMG's global carbon footprint. This includes Scope 3 emissions for four consecutive years, a feat accomplished within the first 18 months of UMG's public listing. This marks a significant step forward in UMG's commitment to mitigating its environmental impact in alignment with the Science-Based Targets initiative.
Mrs. Dullack is a co-founder and Chair of the Music Industry Climate Collective (MICC), an evolution of the industry commitments under the Music Climate Pact.
Her vision and determination have placed UMG at the forefront of the music industry's ESG landscape, demonstrating a commitment to responsible business practices at an incredibly exciting time for UMG as it continues to embrace and embed ESG principles deeper into its operations.
She is a founding member of Chief, San Francisco, a private network dedicated to women leaders, and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
