Update

January 17, 2025 - In light of the immense tragedy unfolding in our own backyards, we’ve decided to move the Music Sustainability Summit (MSS 25) and shift the focus of Feb 3 to an important conversation on the LA Wildfires: the causes, effects, and the future of our community, devastated by climate disaster.

We’ll be hosting an hour-long virtual industry forum, focused on the LA wildfires, on Feb 3.

Our original, in-person Music Sustainability Summit, with a global industry focus, will happen on April 16 at Solotech Studios in Hollywood, CA. Hold on to your registration, it will be honored for the new date.

“We collectively represent a variety of companies and organizations, but we are one industry and we need to present a united front during moments of crisis,” said Amy Morrison, co-founder and CEO of the Music Sustainability Alliance (MSA), an LA-based organization. “This is a moment to come together to show the many ways the music industry is responding to this disaster."

We hope you’ll join us virtually February 3, and in person on April 16.

The forum will feature distinguished speakers in climate science, artists, activists, and others involved in assessing risk and identifying solutions in this emerging era of climate catastrophes. We will also hear from several of our industry partners who are providing resources to those in need.

There is nothing normal about this “new normal” that we live in. Wildfires of this magnitude are not natural disasters, they are climate change fueled disasters. Our work at MSA continues to establish solutions for the music industry to overcome the climate crisis. The fires reinforce our commitment to continue working tirelessly towards providing resources, tools, convening, education, and support for our music community and the communities they touch.
