Jon Ozaksut (he/him)
Digital Director, Yale Program on Climate Change Communication
Jon Ozaksut is an East Coast-based climate advocate, researcher, and marketer currently serving as Digital Director at the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication. His work at the Program has centered on how different audiences respond to climate messages across social media, through message tests, surveys, and partnered experiments. His responsibilities also include audience development and promotion for Yale Climate Connections, a non-profit news service covering how climate change is impacting modern life.
Jon joined YPCCC in 2017 with 9 years of experience in digital marketing and advocacy. From 2013-2015, he worked at Organizing for Action, and served as the organization's digital lead on climate change through President Obama's unveiling of the Clean Power Plan. From 2015-2017, he worked in marketing & communications for the startup Reverb.com, helping define the brand to millions of musicians worldwide.
Jon has a BA in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In his free time, Jon is a lifelong musician, playing bass and drums in bands across the Midwest and New England.
